Burch | August 25, 1992 |
An ink distribution assembly of the type including a fountain roller, an ink fountain for distributing ink on the surface of the fountain roller, a distributor roller, and a ductor roller for transferring ink from the fountain roller to the distributor roller. When the speed of rotation of the fountain roller and distributor roller varies, the ink distribution assembly requires less adjustment of the flow rate of ink from the ink fountain than do conventional ink distribution assemblies which utilize a ductor roller than oscillates through an arc between the fountain roller and the distributor roller.
